Hey there!
I'm sorry it's been a little while since my last update... still cleaning the dust out my special places from last week's Outback Trek!
From Nurburgring Germany to Symmons Plains Tassie to the Aussie Outback...
My ipod is even starting to ask for 'time out'.
Right now it's a quick wash of the duds and next up is the brand new V8 Supercar street circuit in Townsville.
Racing this year is just so awesome. Winning the last round of the MINI's and my last race of the V8's is a blessing. I think after the accident I've become more thankful for what I have and therefore hungrier to make the most of every opportunity. And it's showing in results.
It's a far cry from driving an old 1970's Falcon 6000km's across the Australian Outback! It's been 2 weeks of dirt, mud and getting stuck in crocodile infested river crossings... all in the name of the Royal Flying Doctors Service!
I'm so proud of the old girl, I thrashed it within an inch of it's old life... and we both came off pretty seedy by the end. An absolute ball with the JUST CUTS team and for the 110 cars to raise $1.4 million dollars for 'the Doctor', is simply outstanding.
Hi to everyone that came out to see us along the way!
By the way, I thought chick's can't navigate? That's the myth isn't it? Well my lady Chezzi was just AWESOME. We had a train of cars following us because she was the ONLY one who saved us all from ending up crispy like Burke and Wills.
Even shaved my noggin' for the JUST CUTS 'Cut-a-rama' fundraiser, which kicked off the event... shaving, cutting and colouring for a ripper $8k in donations.
Well done and thanks to my team mates, Denis, Jeni, Blaise, Erik & Casey Johnson for sharing your laughs, beers and occasionally, your spare undies, with this weather beaten idiot.
Good times.
