GRANT DENYER STILL REACHING FOR SUMMIT

V8 Supercar driver and Seven Network television personality Grant Denyer, will spend another season at the “peak” of motorsport with continued support from long time commercial partner Summit Fleet Leasing & Management.

Denyer and Summit General Manager Phil Jones, recently signed an extended agreement for Grant to continue as an ambassador for the Fleet and Novated leasing Company, while the Summit brand will continue to feature on Grants V8 Supercar, both in the Fujitsu series, and on the Ford Rising Stars Falcon racing in the V8 Supercar Phillip Island and Bathurst Enduros.

The association with Summit goes back over 6 seasons when the fleet leasing specialists first backed Grant’s racing activities in the V8 Ute Series. Since then, the Company has broadened its motorsport involvement to include both Paul Morris Motorsport and Team BOC in the V8 Supercar championship series.

“We see motor sport as an integral part of our marketing mix, and the relationship we have with Grant and Brad Jones Racing has been at the forefront of our public persona,” explained Summit GM Phil Jones, “We are first and foremost in the vehicle leasing business, and therefore the profile and networking opportunities within motor racing are paramount to helping expand the Summit Fleet Leasing business overall. We are a growing player in the fleet leasing market and therefore see the value of long term committed relationships, both with an ambassador such as Grant and professional race teams such as Brad Jones Racing.”

Denyer has scored two V8 Supercar race wins this season, and has been a regular top 5 player in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar series for the past 4 seasons. Summit’s staff and customers have enjoyed immensely the opportunity to play a part in Grant’s very impressive progress in his motor racing endeavours.

“Our relationship started in a very small way when I was racing V8 Utes back in 2003, then expanded dramatically with the big step up to V8 Supercars and Dick Johnson Racing in 2005.” Grant explained. “Summit is clearly now part of our family overall, they have been a delight to work with and are very committed to customer reward and loyalty. It has been a pleasure to represent the Summit brand at every opportunity – I just hope I can deliver more wins along the way.”

As part of the Summit V8 Supercar programme, Grant has visited the Mater Hospital Children’s Ward in Brisbane, of which the Company is a committed supporter; taken Summit customers on hot laps in the Summit Fleet Leasing Ford, been a guest at the Summit Sales conference in Brisbane and cooked for the Summit team at a staff BBQ at the Rydalmere head office.

“The energy with which Glenda McCowatt and Phil Jones drive their involvement in the sport is the main reason that it delivers results for the Summit brand, and again great proof of the marketing power of motor racing, which is now the 2nd most watched sport on television – equal second with rugby league in television viewing numbers.”

Grant will co–drive the Ausdrill Ford Rising Stars Falcon at both the Phillip Island and Bathurst Enduros with Michael Patrizi, as well as driving in the final 2 rounds of the Fujitsu series in the Summit/Play Station Ford. He also leads the Mini Challenge series with Round 4 also coming up at Phillip Island in the next few weeks.
